I’m pretty sure everyone is guilty of eating nearly half of the pre-made or homemade cookie dough before it hits the oven. Cookie dough is something that some people fear to eat, but just can’t get enough of the taste. The fear comes from the raw egg that is needed in the dough for baking. Some fear it and some do not think raw egg should be something to worry about.
I found an awesome recipe that changes everything: Raw Cookie Dough That’s Safe to Eat. This recipe requires NO eggs! Now, it’s not dough that you can bake cookies with. This raw cookie dough is strictly for eating raw, mixing into ice cream, to use as a frosting, etc.
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup packed brown sugar (I used dark brown sugar. You can use light brown sugar.)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoon milk
- Chocolate Chips (or other mix-ins)
After you have all the ingredients in one bowl, all you do is MIX! After mixing the dough, I put it in a tupperware container to stick in the fridge. I think raw cookie dough is best when served cold!
